If engine does not turn when pressing the start stop button, test the switch as followsRemove steering cover and unplug the multi-function switch connector If starter now turns ensure the cablesconnections from battery to solenoid and to starter are in good conditionIf they test good, the MPEM can be suspectedSee MPEM belowIf starter does not turn, check for mechanical problems in the starter
When other components have been tested above and are good, the MPEM can be suspectedEnsure wiring and connectors are in good condition prior to replacing the MPEM
Turn OFF ignition switchDisconnect BLACK (-) cable connection from batteryMX32060
Using multimeter, measure the resistance between the following wiresPOSITION Switch released Switch depressed and held WIRE Black and Yellow RESISTANCE Infinite (0.L) 0.4 max
