CHARGING SYSTEM INSPECTION
CURRENT LEAKAG INSPECTION
Remove the battery box cove (page 21 -6) With the ignition switch turned to OFF (0)disconnect the negative cab le from the battery Connect the ammeter (+probe to the negative cable and the ammeter probe to the battery terminalWith the ignition switch turned to OFF (0)check for current leakageNOT E:
When measuring current using tester, set it to high range, and then bring the range down to an appropriate levelCurrent flow higher than the range selected may blowout the fuse in the tester Wh ile measuring current, do not turn the ignition switch to ON OJA sudden surge of current may blowout the fuse in the testerSPECIFIED CURRENT LEAKAG E: rn maximum If current leakage exceeds the specified valueshorted circuit is likelyLocate the short by disconnecting connections one by one and measuring the current
