Replace the pinion shim ith thinner one if the contact pattern is too low, toward the flankThe pattern will shift about 0.51.0 mm (0.020.04 in) when the thickness of the shim is changed by 0.12 mm (0.005 in) NOTE:
Eleven different thickness shims are available from the thin nest (1.26 mm thicknessA) shim to the thickest (1 .86 mm thicknessK) in interva ls of 0.06 mm Pinion gear shims: A: (thinnest): 1.26 mm (0.050 in) E: (standard): 1.50 mm (0.060 in) K: (thickest): 1.86 mm (0.073 in) Pinion shim replacement (page 20-26)
