SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
The crankcase halves must be separated to service the crankshaft and AIT (mainshaft and 2nd3rd shift clutch [countershaftj)To service these parts, the engine must be removed from the frame (page 8-2) For AIT service, see Drivetrain System section (page 14-2) Be careful not to damage the crankcase mating surfaces when servicing
