SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
Removing the radiator cap whi le the engine is hot can al low the co olant to spray out, seriously scalding youAlways let the engine and radiator cool down before removing the radiator cap ,
Using coolant with silicate corrosion inhibitors may cause premarure wear of water pump seals or blockage of radiator passageUsing tap water may cause engine damage Add coolant to the system at the reserve tankDo not remove the radiator cap except to refill or drain the system All cooling system service can be done ith the engine installed in the frameAvo id spilling coolant on pa inted surfacesAfter servicing th systemchec for leaks with coo ling system testerFor engine temperature indicator and cooling fan motor inspection, see LightsM etersSwitches section (page 24-9) ,
