VALVE CLEARANCE
Inspect and adjust the valve clearance while the engine is cold (below 3595" F) Check the engine idle speed after the valve clearance inspection (page 6-55) Unlock the cargo bed by pull ng up on the release lever and then raise the bed Remove the fol lowing- mudguard (page 3-12)driver seat under cover (page 3-6) Remove the crankshaft ho le ca and the timing hole cap
Remove the four bo lts, intake and exhaust valve adjusting ho le caps
