GENERAL
Place the vehicle on level ground before starting any work When using the lock nut wren ch, use deflecting beam type torque wrench 20- inches longThe lock nut wrench increases the torque wrench 's leverage, so the torque wrench reading will be less than the torque actually applied to the lock nutThe specification given on the next page is the actual torque applied to the lock nutnot the reading on the torque wrench when used with the lock nut wrench The procedure later in the text gives both actual and indicated torque read ings For gear selector cable adjustment, see Sub-transmissionGearshift Linkage section (page 12-1S) For dri ve ode selector cable adjustment, see Front Driving Mechanism section (page 19-44)
