Remove the bed side panels (page 3-17)Release the tailgate lock lever to open the tailgateWhile holding the tailgate, remove the two socket bolts to disconnect the support cablesRemove the two washer-screws and pivot brackets, then remove the tailgate from the bed frameRemove the following:three tapping screws and pivot pipecap nut, socket bolt, washer and support cablessocket bolts, cable stay and lock lever Installation is in the reverse order of removalTORQUE: Lock lever socket bolt: 12 N'm (1.2 kgfm, Ibf.ftl Bracket washer-screw: N'm (0.8 kgfm, 5.9 Ibfttl
