BATTERYCHARGING SYSTEM REMOVALINSTALLATION Remove the rear fender (page 2-5) Disconnect the regulatorrectifier 2P (Natural) and alternator 3P (Natural) connectors Remove the two bolts, regulatorrectifier and base plate from the frame
Install the base plate to the regulatorlrectifier as shownInstall the regulatorrectifier with base plate and tighten the two boltsConnect the regulatorrectifier 2P (Natural) and alternator 3P (Natural) connectorsInstall the rear fender (page 2-5)
ALTERNATOR CHARGING COIL
INSPECTION
Disconnect the alternator 3P (Natural) connector and release the connector from the battery case stayCheck the connector for loose contacts or corroded terminalsMeasure the resistance between the Yellow terminals of the alternator side connectorSTANDARD: 0.20.6 (at 20C68F)
