CYLINDER HEADVALVE
VALVE GUIDE REPLACEMENT
Chill new valve guides in freezer for about an hourBesuretowear heavy gloves to avoid burns when handling the heated cylinder head
Heat the cylinder head to 130C-140C (275F290F) with hot plate or ovenDo not heat the cyl inder head beyond 150C (300F)Use temperature indicator sticks, available from welding supply stores, to be sure the cylinder head is heated to the proper temperature
I NOTICE
Using torch to heat the cylinder head may cause warpageSupport the cylinder head and drive the valve guides out of the cylinder head from the combustion chamber side using the special toolTOOL: Valve guide driver, 5.5 mm

Remove new valve guides from the freezerWhile the cylinder head is still heateddrive each valve guide into the cylinder head from the camshaft side until it is fully seatedTOOL: Valve guide driver, 5.5 mm
