MAINTENANCE Check the a-rings for wear, deterioration or damageCoat the -rings with engine oil and install them onto the crankshaft hole cap and timing hole capApply grease to the crankcase hole cap and timing hole cap threadsInstall the caps and tighten themTORQUE: Crankshaft hole cap: 15 Nm (1.5 kgfm, 11 Ibfft) Timing hole cap: 10 N'm (1 .0 kgfm, 7Ibfft) Install the fuel tank (page 2-6)
ENGINE OIL
OIL LEVEL CHECK
Place the veh icle on level groundStart the engine and let it idle forminutesStop the engine and waitminutesRemove the oil filler capdipstick and wipe it clean Reinstall the oil filler capdipstick, but do not screw it in Remove the oil filler capdipstick and check the oil levelThe engine contains sufficient amount of oil if the oil level is between the upper and lower level marks on the dipstickIf the oil level near or below the lower level mark, add the recommended engine oil to the upper level markRECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL: Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke oil (U.S.Aand Canada) or equivalent motor oil API service classification: SG or higher JASO 903 standard: MA Viscosity: SAE 10W-30 Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used when the average temperature in your riding area is within the indicated range Re insta ll the oil filler capdipstickOIL VISCOSITIES
