DRIVETRAIN SYSTEM DTC 42-1 (SHIFT UPDOWN SWITCH CIRCUIT) Before starting the troubleshooting, check for loose or poor contact on the handlebar switch 10R (Green) connector and PCM 33P (Black) connector and then recheck the DTC1Shift Switch Status Inspection Turn the ignition switch ONCheck the shift switch status and voltage in the Data List Menu of HDS as follows: UP "Up" ON "Down" ON Both ON Both OFF 3.644.08 1.76-2.09 4.04.990.99 DOWN 1.76-2.09 3.644.08 4.04.990.99 V

2Shift Switch Line Inspection (PCM side) Turn the ignition switch OFFDisconnect the PCM 33P (Black) connectorCheck for continuity between the PCM 33P (Black) connector terminals in each switch position (page 14-45)TOOL: Test probe 07ZAJ-RDJA110 Connection:A3-A5 Is there normal continuity? PCM 33P (BLACK) CONNECTOR (Wire side of female terminal)
