SUB-TRANSMISSIONGEARSHIFT LINKAGE Coat new O-ring with engine oil and install it into the groove in the gear position switchBe careful not to damage the switch pin during installstionAlign the long end of the switch pin with the" markInstall the switch by aligning the switch pin with the slot in the crankcase coverInstall the bolts and tighten itInstall the wire clip into the stay of the filler pipeInstall the alternator cover and reduction gears (page 11-12)
O-RING GEAR POSITION SWITCH
Install the gear selector arm by aligning the groove with the wide tooth of the spindleInstall the pinch bolt and tighten it
TORQUE: 16 (1.6 kgf m, 12 Ibf ft)
Secure the selector cable onto the engine with the two cable holder boltsRoute the gear position switch wire properly, secure the wire with the clamp on the cable holder
