ALTERNATOR STATORSTARTER REDUCTION GEARS
ALTERNATOR COVER REMOVAL
Remove the following: air cleaner housing (page 6-41) recoil starter (page 11-5) engine guard (page 3-17) 5P NATURAL CONNECTOR
Drain the engine oil (page 4-11)Disconnect the alternator 5P (Natural) connector
Hold the recoil starter driven pulley using the special tool and loosen the boltTOOL: Recoil pulley holder 07SMB-HM70100
