FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI) DTC 8-1 (TP SENSOR LOW VOLTAGE) Before starting the inspection, check for loose or poor contact on the MAPTP sensor 5P (Black) connector and recheck the DTC1TP Sensor System Inspection Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch "o"Check the TP sensor with the HDS when the throttle is fully closedIs about indicated? YES NOGO TO STEP 3- GO TO STEP 2
2TP Sensor Inspection Check that the TP sensor voltage is increasing uninterrupted when moving the throttle from fully closed to fully opened using the data list menu of the HDS pocket testerDoes the voltage increase continuously? YESIntermittent failure Loose or poor contact on the MAPTP sensor connectorFaulty TP sensor
3TP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection Turn the ignition switch OFFDisconnect the MAPTP sensor 5P (Black) connectorTurn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch "O"Measure the voltage at the wire harness side terminalsConnection: Brown (+)Greenred (-) to the voltage within 4.755.25 V? YES NOGO TO STEP 5- TO STEP 4MAPTP SENSOR 5P (BLACK) CONNECTOR (Wire side of female terminal)
