FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI) DTC 7-2 (ECT SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE) Before starting the inspection, check for loose or poor contact on the ECT sensor 2P (Black) connector and recheck the DTC1ECT Sensor System Inspection Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch "o"Check the ECT sensor with the HDS pocket testerIs about indicated? NOIntermittent failure Loose or poor contact on the ECT sensor 2P (Black) connector- GO TO STEP 2
2ECT Sensor Inspection Remove the fuel tank left side cover (page 3-6)Turn the ignition switch OFFDisconnect the ECT sensor 2P (Black) connectorJump the ECT sensor terminals with jumper wireConnection: WhiteGreenred Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch "O"Check the ECT sensor with the HDS pocket testerIs about indicated? YES NOFaulty ECT sensor- GO TO STEP 3JUMPER WIRE ECT SENSOR 2P (BLACK) CONNECTOR (Wire side of female terminal)
