MAINTENANCE If the level is low, remove the steering cover (page 3-5)Remove the reserve tank cap, and fill the tank up to the "UPPER" level line with 1:1 mixture of distilled water and antifreeze (coolant preparation: page 7-6)RECOMMENDED ANTIFREEZE: Pro Honda HP coolant or an equivalent high quality ethylene glycol antifreeze containing silicatefree corrosion inhibitors
Using coolant with silicate corrosion inhibitors may cause premature wear of water pump seals or blockage of radiator passagesUsing tap water may cause engine damageCheck to see if there are any coolant leaks when the coolant level decreases very rapidlyIf the reserve tank becomes completely empty, there is possibility of air getting into the cooling systemBe sure to remove any air from the cooling system (page 7-7)
