BATTERY ICHARGING SYSTEM
ALTERNATOR CHARGING COIL
INSPECTION
Remove the alternator 3P red connector from the frame and disconnect it
Measure the resistance between the Yellow wire terminals of the alternator side connectorSTANDARD: 0.11.0 .Q (20C68F)
Check for continuity between each Yellow wire terminal of the alternator side connector and groundThere should be no continuityReplace the alternator stator if resistance is out of specification, or if any wire has continuity to groundAlternator stator replacement (page 11-6)
REGULATORRECTIFIER
WIRE HARNESS INSPECTION
Remove the two bolts and regulatorrectifier from the frame, and disconnect the 6P gray connectorCheck the regulatorrectifier connector for loose contact or corroded terminals
