BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM
CHARGING SYSTEM INSPECTION
CHARGING VOLTAGE INSPECTION
Be sure the battery is in good condition before performing this testRemove the seat (page 3-4)Warm up the engine to normal operating temperatureStop the engine, and connect the multimeter as shown NOTE:
To prevent short, make absolutely certain which are the positive and negative terminals or cableRestart the engineWith the headlight on Hi beammeasure the voltage on the multimeter when the engine runs at 5,000 rpm (min-')

CURRENT LEAKAGE INSPECTION
Remove the seat (page 3-4) Turn the ignition switch to OFF and disconnect the negative cable from the batteryConnect the ammeter (+) probe to the negative cable and the ammeter probe to the battery negative terminalWith the ignition switch OFF, check for current leakageNOTE:
