MAINTENANCE Use brush to remove carbon deposits from the screen mesh, being careful not to damage the screen meshThe screen mesh must be free of breaks and holesReplace the spark arrester if necessary Install the spark arrester with new gasket and tighten the three boltsTORQUE: 12 N'm (1.2 kgfm, Ibf.ft)
SCREEN MESH
NUTS, BOLTS, FASTENERS
Check that all chassis nuts and bolts are tightened to their correct torque values (page 1-14)Check that all cotter pins, safety clips, hose clamps and cable stays are in place and properly secured
WHEELSTIRES
Tire pressure should be checked when the tires are cold
Check the tire pressure with tire pressure gaugeRECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE: '06 and '07: Front: Standard: 30 kPa (0.30 kgfcm2, 4.4 psi) Minimum: 26 kPa (0.26 kgfcm2, 3.8 psi) Maximum: 23 kPa (0.34 kgfcm2, 5.0 psi) Rear: Standard: 20 kPa (0.20 kgfcm2, 2.9 psi) Minimum: 17 kPa (0.17 kgfcm2, 2.5 psi) Maximum: 23 kPa (0.23 kgfcm2, 3.3 psi) After '07: Front: 30 kPa (0.30 kgfcm2, 4.4 psi) Rear: 20 kPa (0.20 kgfcm2, 2.9 psi) Check the tires for cuts, embedded nails, or other damageMeasure the tread depth at the center of the tiresReplace the tires when the tread depth reaches the following limitsMINIMUM TREAD DEPTH (FrontRear): 4.0 mm (0.16 in) Raise the wheel off the ground and check the hub and axle bearings for excessive play or abnormal noise
