COOLING SYSTEM
THERMOSTAT
REMOVAL
Drain the coolant from the system (page 7-7)Remove the fuel tank covers (page -5)Remove the th rottle body cover (page 6-48l
Loosen the band screw Remove the trim clip and the air intake duel fro the air cleaner housing
Remove the two bo lts and thermos tat cover
Remove Ihe the rmostat from the housing
IN SPECTION
Visually inspect the thermostat for damageReplace the therm stat if the alve stays open at
room temperatureW ,a' msulalfK!
