ELECTRIC STARTER
TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE: The starter motor should operate only when the transmission is in neutral Check the following items before troubleshooting the systemBlown fuse (15A)Battery and starter motor cables fo loose connect ionBattery discharged

With the ignition switch ON, momentarily push the starter switch button and listen for "Click" sound from the starter relay switch (page 18-10)Does the starter relay click?
YESGO TO STEP 2

2Starter Motor Talt
Check operation of the starter motor by temporarily connecting it directly to the vehicle battery
Does the sterte, motor turn?

Check the function of the neutral indicator
