ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) EPS INDICATOR DOES NOT GO OFF, AND NO DTCs ARE STORED NOTE Before starting the troubleshooting check the following items
check the connectors for loose contact or corroded terminals, and recheck the DTCcheck for blown 40A and lOA IGN fusesbattery condition (must use fully charged battery)
1Fuse Inspectio n
Check the 40A and lOA IGN fuses
Is the fuse OK?
YESReplace the fuse and recheckIf the fuse is blown, check for short to body ground this fuse circuit- GO TO STEP 2
2DTe Ins pection
Check the DTe with HOS or OLe (page 24- 10)
Are there any Orcs?
- Troubleshoot the indicated OTC- GO TO STEP 3
3Indicator line Short Circuit ins pe ction
Remove the front fender (page 39)Disconnect the EPS EeU 21 gray connectorGround the Grayblue wire terminal of the wire harness side of the EPS ECU 21 gray connector and with jumper wireTOOL: Pin probe (M ale) 07ZAJ RDJA 110 Turn the ignition switch to ONDoes the indicator go off?
