REAR DRIVING MECHANISM FINAL GEAR CASE ASSEMBLY NOTE When the gear set, bearing, andor gear case has been replaced, check the following- gear tooth contact pattern (page 17-14)gear backlash (page 17-12)
Keep dust and dm out of the case and
Clean the mating surface of the gear case and cover, being careful not to damage them
Blow compressed air through the breather hole in
the gear case
Install the proper ring gear shims onto the ring gear and install them into the gear case
