It IS Important fa turn the pinion while Ilghtemng the boilsIf the ring gear shim is too thick, the gears will lock after only light IIghtenrng
Apply locking agent to the threads of the two 10 mm boltsInstall the two 10 mm bolts and four mm bolts, and tighten them several steps until the cover evenly touches the caseThen, while rotating the pinion gear, tighten the bolts to the specified torque in crisscross pattern in several slepsTORQUE ('05'071: 10 mm bolt: 49 Nm (5.0 kgfm, 36 IbUt) mm bolt25 Nm (2.5 kgfm, 18Ibf.ft)
