FRONT DRIVING MECHANISM (Except TM model) Install the differential assembly into the gear case
DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
Install the case cover and tighten the bolt in several steps until the cover evenly touches the gear caseII IS Imporrant to rum Ihe pinion gear while IIghtemng the bolts_ If the ring gear shim Is too thick, Iha gears will lock aher only light
Then, while rotating the pinion gear, tighten the bolts to the specified torque in crisscross pattern in several steps
TORQUE ('05'07): 10 mm bolt49 Nm 15.0 kgfm, 36 IbUtl mm bolt: 25 (2.5 kgfm18Ibf.ft) TORQUE (After '07)10 mm bolt46.5 N'm (4.7 kgfm34 IbUt) mm bolt: 25 N'm (2.5 kgfm, 18 IbUt)
tightening
Rotate the ring gear several times in both direct ions of rotationCheck the gear tooth contact pattern through the oil fille holeThe pattern is indicated by the Prussian Blue applied to the pinionContact is normal if the Pru ssian Blue is transferred to the approximate center of each tooth, but slightly to the heel side and to the flank sideIf the patterns are not correct, remove and change the pinion shim with one of an alternate thickness
