SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
The recoil starter can be removed with the engine installed in the frameTo service he alte rnato stator, flywheel and starter clutch, the engine must be removed from the frame (these items can be serv iced by removing the swingarm if no additional engine work is needed) Transmission ubricati ng oil is fed through the oil passages in the rear crankcase an alt ernator coversClean the oil passages before installing each cover Refer to inspection for the alt ernato stator (page 18-8) Refer to procedure fo the starter motor servicing (page 20-6),
