ACAUTION
Used engine oil may cause skin cancer if repeatedly left in contact with the skin for prolonged periodsAlthough this is unlikely unless you handle used oil on daily basis, it is slill advisable to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water as soon as possible after handling used oi ,_ J I
This section covers service of the oil pump, oil cooler and cooling fanThe service procedures in th is section can be performed with the engine installed in the frame When removing and installing the oil pump, use care not to allow dust or dirt to enter the engine If any portion of the oil pump is worn beyond the specified service limits, replace the oil pump as an assembly After the oil pump and oil cooler have been installed, check that there are no oil leaks Refer to procedure for the oil level check and oil change Ipage 4-12) Refer to procedure for the oil filter replacement (page 4-14) The oil temperature sensor signals the ECM to start the cooling fan motor according to the engine oil temperatureRefer to inspection for Ihe oil cooling system (page 21 -17)
