BRAKE SYSTEM
FRONT BRAKE
Firmly apply he ront brake lever and check that no
ai has entered the systemIf the brake lever feels soft or spongy en oper-
ated, bleed the systemRefer to procedures for the air bleeding (page 15-5)Inspect the brake hoses and fittings for deterio ration, cracks, damage or signs of leakageTighten any loose fittingsReplace hoses, pipes and fittings as required
REAR BRAKE
Check the brake cable, brake lever and brake pedal for loose connections, excessive play or other damageReplace or repair if necessary For cable lubrication: Disconnect the brake cable at the brake lever or pedalThoroughly lubricate the cables and their pivot points with commercially available cable lubricant or lightweight oilMeasure the rear (parking) brake lever free play at the end of the lever
