TROUBLESHOOTING
The starter motor should operate when the transmission is in neutral or when the transmission is int gear and the clutch lever is squeezed Starter Motor Does Not Turn 1Fuse Inspection Chec for blown ma in fuse (15 A)
Is the fuse blown?
YES NORep lace the fuse- GO TO STEP 2
2Battery Inspection Check that the battery is fully charged and in good condition
Is the battery in good condition?
YES NOGO TO STEP 3- Charge the battery (page 16-7)
3Starter Relay Switch Operation Inspection Check the operation of the starter relay switch (page 18-12)
Does the starter relay switch click?
YES NOGO TO STEP 4- GO TO STEP 5
4Starter Motor Inspection Turn th ignition switch to OFFApply battery voltage to the starter motor directly
Does the starter motor turn?
