Crank the engine with th starter motor and measure the exciter coi peak voltage PEAK VOLTAGE100 inimum If the peak vo ltage measured at the leM is abnormal, measure the peak voltage at the alternatorDi scon nect the exciter coi connector (Bl ackred) and connect the peak vo ltage tes ter or adaptor probes ,to the alternator side connector te rminal and round CONNECTIONBlack red (+- Ground
