SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL

ACAUTION
Frequent inhalation of brake pad dust, regardless of material composition, could be hazardous to your health Avoid breath ing dust particles Never use an air hose or brush to clean brake assembliesUse an OSHA-approved vacuum cleaner

Spilled brake fluid wifl severely damage the plastic parts and painted surfacesIt is also harmful to some rubber partsBe careful whenever you remove the reservo ir cap: make sure the reservoir is horizontal first
contaminated brake disc or pad reduces stopp ing powerDiscard contaminated pads and clean contaminated disc ith high qual ity brake degreasing agent Never allow contam inants (e.g dirt, water) to enter an open reservoir Once the hydrau lic system has been openedor if the brake feels spongythe system must be bled Always use fresh DOT brake fluid from sealed container when servicing the systemDo not mix different types of fluid as they may not be compat ible Always check brake operation before riding the vehicle
