CYLINDER HEADVALVE INSPECTION CAMSHAFT
Check the cam sprocket for wear or damageCheck the cam and jo rnal surfaces of the cams haft for scori ngscratches or evidence of insufficie nt lubricationCheck the oi holes in the camsh aft for debrisTurn the camshaft bearings with yo ur fingerThe bearings should turn smooth ly and qUietly
M easure each cam lobe height
SERVICE LIMITS: IN30.57 mm (1.204 in) EX: 30.37 mm (1 .196 in)
If the cam lobe is damaged or excessively worn, inspect th oil passage and rocker arm
Measure the camshaft runou! using dial ind icator
