MAINTENANCE Loosen the lock nu at the parking brake arm and turn he adjusting bolt clockwise until bolt resis tance is feltThen turn the ad justing bolt 18 turn cou nte rclockwise and tighten the lock nut whi le ho lding the adjusting boltTORQUE17.2 Nm (1 .75 kgfm, 13 Ibfft)
Squeeze the clutch lever while pushing the bra ke lock pin down until firm resistance is felt and measure the parking brake cable free play at the end of the clutch leverFREE PLAY: 2530 mm (11-14 in)
To adjust the free play, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster at the parking brake arm on the clutch lever bracketTighten the lock nut securely wh ile holding the adjusterAdjust the clutch lever free play (page 4-23)
