ENGIN OIL
OIL LEVEL CHECK
Check the oil level after starting the engine and allowing the oil to circulate through the engine thorough lyIt is especia lly im portant on dry sump enginedue to the comparatively large volume of oi Do not snap the throttle while idling or the oil level reading wi ll be inaccuratePlace th vehicle on level grou ndStart the eng ine and let it idle for inutesIf the air temperature is below lOoC (50F)let the engine idle for an addit iona minutes (a tota of 10 min utes) Stop the engine Remove the oil fi ller capd ipstick from the oil tank and wipe it clean Check he oil level by inserting the iller capdipstick into the fi ll er hole without screwing it inThe engine conta ins sufficient amount of oi if the oil leve is between the upper and lower leve marks on the dipstickIf the oil leve is near below the lower leve mark, add the recommended engi ne oil up to the upper level markUPPER
