GENERAL INFORMATION NOISE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (except type) TAMPER ING WITH THE NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM IS PROHIBITED: State laws prohibitor Canadian provincial laws may prohi bit the fo llowing acts or the causing thereof: (1) The removal or renderi n9 inoperative by any person, other than for purposes of maintenance, repair or rep lacement, of any device or element of design incorporated into any new vehicle for the purpose of noise control prior to its sale or delivery to the ultimate purchaser or while it is in use; or (2) the use of the vehic le after such device or element of design has been removed or rendered inoperative by any person AMONG THOSE ACTS PRESUMED TO CONSTITUTE TAMPER IN ARE THE FOLLOWING ACTS: 1Remova of, or puncturing the muffler, baftlesheader pipes or any other component wh ic conducts exha ust gases2Removal of, or punctu ring of any part of the intake system3Lack of proper maintenance4Rep lacing any moving parts of th vehicle, or parts of the exhaust or intake system, it parts other then those speci fied by the manufacturer
