1Use genuine Honda or Honda-recommended parts and lubricants or their equ ivalentsParts that do not eet Honda's design specificat io ns may cause damage to the veh icle2Use the special tools designed fo thi roduct to avoid damage and incorrect assemb ly 3Use only metric too ls hen se rv icing th vehicleM etri bo lts, nuts and screws are not interch angeable with English fas tene rs4Install new gaskets, O-rings, cotter pins, and lock plate wh en reassem bling 5When tigh tening bolts or nuls, begin with the large diameter or inner bolt firstThen ig hten 10 the specified torque diagonally in incremental steps unless particula sequence is speci fied6Clean parts in cleaning solvent upon disassemb lyLubricate any sliding surfaces befo re reassembly 7Aher reassembly, check all parts for proper inst allation and operationSRoute all electrical wires as shown in the Cable and Harness Rou ting (page '- 1S)
