THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR
REMOVALINSTALLATION
Do not loosen the throttle position sensor attaching shear bolts unless the throttle position sensor requires replacementIt may cause the sensor to move out of positionFor sensor replacement, see page 24-40Remove the fuel tank cover (page 2-6)Disconnect the throttle position sensor connectorRemove the two sensor bracket screws, and TP sensor and bracket as an assembly
BRACKET SCREWS
TP SENSORBRACKET ASSEMBLY Install new O-ring onto the carburetor bodyImproper installation can cause damage to the TP sensor
Install new TP sensor assembly by aligning the tabs of the sensor with the flat of the shaft as shownInstall the screws and tighten themConnect the sensor 3P connectorInstall the removed parts in the reverse order of removal
