Be careful not to bend the connector terminals
Check the Pinkgreen wire for continuity between the ECM 21P (Gray) connector terminal and groundCheck the Pink wire for continuity between the rear VSS side 3P (Yellow) connector terminal and groundIs there continuity? YES Short circuit in the Pinkgreen wire between the ECM connector and rear VSS connector Short circuit in the Pink wire at the rear VSSNO GO TO STEP 5PG P
5Rear VSS Mechanical Inspection Check the rear VSS for correct installationRemove the rear VSS (page 23-11), and check for any object on the sensor tip or ring gear surface, also check for damage on the sensor tipIs it installed correctly? NO Clean the rear VSS and ring gear, correctly install the rear VSS, or replace the rear VSSYES GO TO STEP 6
