CARBURETOR HEATER
INSPECTION
Remove the front fender (page 2-11)Remove the carburetor heater switch 2P (RED) connector from the holder and disconnect itConnect the wire harness side connector terminals with jumper wire
2P (RED) CONNECTOR Remove the recoil starter cover (page 2-4)Disconnect the carburetor heater 2P (Natural) connectorMeasure the voltage between the Brown (+) and Green () wire terminals of the wire harness side connectorThere should be battery voltage with the ignition switch turned to ONIf there is no voltage, check for an open circuit in the wire harnessMeasure the resistance between the heater side connector terminalsSTANDARD: 13 15 (at 20C68F) 2P (NATURAL) CONNECTOR
