SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
This section covers service of the recoil starter, alternator stator and flywheelstarter clutchThese parts can be serviced with the engine installed in the frame Starter clutch lubricating oil is fed through the oil passage in the alternator coverClean the oil passage before installing the alternator cover Be careful not to damage the mating surfaces of the alternator and crankcase covers when servicing Refer to 19-9 for alternator stator inspection Refer to 21-7 for starter motor servicing
