Remove the battery (page 19-5) Disconnect the starter motor cable from the starter relay by removing the terminal nut and washerRemove the following from the battery box: fuse box 2P connectors starter relay switch STARTER RELAY SWITCH CONNECTORS FUSE BOX
STARTER MOTOR CABLE BATTERY
'05, '06 model shown:
Remove the following: fuel tank cover (page 2-6) rear carrier (page 2-11) bolt two socket bolts six trim clips tail light connector ('05, '06 only) Remove the starter motor and battery () cables out of the rear fender and remove the rear fenderInstallation is in the reverse order of removalRoute the wires and cables properly (page 1-22)
