ALTERNATORSTARTER CLUTCH Untie the starter rope and remove the grip while holding the drive pulleyRelease the starter rope slowlyWear eye protec- Carefully remove the drive pulley from the starter tion and use care spring and pulley shaft of the housingwhen removingThe spring may pop out of the housing if care is not usedROPE GRIP
PULLEY Remove the starter rope from the drive pulleyCheck the starter rope for wear or damage
ROPE Check the starter spring and replace it with new one if it is damaged or broken
