MAINTENANCE Adjust by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusting screw until there is slight drag on the feeler gaugeHold the adjusting screw and tighten the lock nutTORQUE: 17 (1.7 kgf-m, 13 Ibf-ft) After tightening the lock nut, recheck the valve clearance
Coat new O-rings with engine oil and install them into the valve adjusting hole capsInstall the valve adjusting hole caps and tighten themTORQUE: 12 (1.2 kgf-m, Ibf-ft)
VALVE ADJUSTING HOLE CAP Coat new O-ring with engine oil and install it onto the timing hole capInstall the timing hole cap and tighten itTORQUE: 10 (1.0 kgf-m, Ibf-ft) Install the recoil starter cover (page 3-4)Install the heat guard plate (page 6-22)
