REMOVAL
Remove the wheel hub (page 17-15)Remove the cotter pin from the tie-rod ball joint studRemove the ball joint nut while holding the joint stud flat surfaces with an open end wrenchRemove the tie-rod from the knuckle
Remove the cotter pins and loosen the castle nuts, but do not remove them yet
Release the ball joints, using the special tool according to the instructions described belowTOOL: Ball joint remover 07MAC-SL00200
