MAINTENANCE Minor adjustments are made at the clutch leverSlide the dust cover off the lever bracket, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusterTighten the lock nut securelyIf the adjuster is threaded out near its limit and the correct free play cannot be obtained, turn the adjuster all the way in and back out one turnTighten the lock nut securely, install the dust cover and make major adjustment described belowLOCK NUT
CLUTCH CABLE ADJUSTER Major adjustments are made with the lower adjusting nut at the engineLoosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting nutTighten the lock nut securely while holding the adjusting nutCheck the clutch operationIf the correct free play cannot be obtained or the clutch slips during test ride, disassemble and inspect the clutch ('04'05: page 13-5, After '05: page 14-6)
