MAINTENANCE REAR BRAKE Check the rear brake pads for wearReplace the brake pads if the wear limit indicator mark (lug end) on the caliper aligns with the reference mark on the caliper bracket when the rear brake is appliedRefer to page 19-9 for rear brake pad replacement
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
NOTE: The front brake light switch cannot be adjustedIf the front brake light switch actuation and brake engagement are off, either replace the switch unit or the malfunctioning parts of the systemRemove the right mud guard (page 3-3)Check that the brake light comes on just prior to the brake actually being engagedIf the light fails to come on, adjust the switch so that the light come on at the proper timeHold the switch body and turn the adjusting nutDo not turn the switch bodyBRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
