MAINTENANCE ADJUSTMENT Loosen the axle bearing holder pinch boltsTurn the bearing holder until the correct drive chain slack is obtained, using the hex wrench in the tool kitTighten the axle bearing holder pinch boltsTORQUE: 21 N-m (2.1 kgfm, 15 Ibfft) Recheck the drive chain slack and free wheel rotationIf the chain slack is excessive when the bearing holder is turned fully rearward (the correct slack cannot be obtained), replace the drive chain with new oneTo replace the drive chain, remove the drive sprocket cover (page 10-7) and swingarm (page 1820)BEARING HOLDER

CLEANING, LUBRICATION AND INSPECTION
Clean the chain with soft brush using non-flammable or high flash point solvent and wipe it dryBe sure the chain has dried completely before lubricatingLubricate the drive chain with #80#90 gear oil or equivalent chain lubricant designed for specifically for use on O-ring chainsSome commercially available chain lubricants may contain solvents which could damage the O-rings Wipe off the excess oilSOLVENT SOFT BRUSH
