MAINTENANCE Rotate the crankshaft clockwise and align the punch mark on the primary drive gear with the index mark on the right crankcase coverMake sure the piston is at TDC (Top Dead Center) on the compression strokeINDEX MARK
Record the clearance of each valve for reference in shim selection if adjustment is required
Measure the clearance of each intake valve by inserting feeler gauge between the valve lifter and cam lobeINTAKE VALVE CLEARANCE: 0.16 0.03 mm (0.006 0.001 in)
