SA TIERY CHARGING SYSTEM
CHARGING SYSTEM INSPECTION
CURRENT LEAKAGE TEST
Remove the seat (page 3-4) Turn the ignition switch OFFand disconnect the negative cable from the batteryConnect the ammeter probe to the negative +) cable and the ammeter probe to the banery terminalWith the ignition switch OFF, check for current leakageNOTE
When measuring current using testerset it to high range, and then bring the range down to an appropriate levelCurrent flow higher than the range selected may blowout the fuse in the tester While measuring currentdo not turn the ignitio switch ON sudden surge of current may low out the fuse in the testerSPECIFIED CURRENT LEAKAGErnA max(Equipped with meter) 0.1 rnA max(No meter model)
If current leakage exceeds the specified value, shorted circuit is likelyLocate the short by disconnecting connections one by one and measuring the current
